Valley view is located in a super secluded spot, totally south facing, high on the side of a hill, overlooking an undeveloped valley, the land surrounding Valley View is classed as an AONB and part of the protected heritage coast. Locally you can enjoy lots of walking directly from the house.

Ilfracombe is a vibrant seaside town with fantastic restaurants and cafés and an abundance of food shops which includes bakers, green grocers, butchers and a large Tesco and Lidl supermarket.

There are lots of independent art galleries and the very famous Sculpture of verity by Damion Hirst in the harbour.

Ilfracombe has a bustling fishing harbour where you can take fishing trips from or purchase fresh fish from the fish shop in the harbour which comes straight from the boats if you don’t fancy going out to sea yourself. There is a public swimming pool in the town or with a short drive there is a swimming pool with slides located on a holiday park which can be booked as a non resident.

Most of the local beaches are dog friendly in the winter months and lots of the smaller ones during the summer. Ilfracombe has an abundance of fantastic beaches locally with rock pools, coastal paths and surfing
